Film Concert : Star Wars – The Return of the Jedi
Gistermiddag heb ik samen met Oscar, Monica en Danielle de film Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi in het te Amsterdam gezien. De muziek in deze film werd live gespeeld door het Residentie Orkest Den Haag, onder leiding van Dirk Brossé.
The Residentie Orchestra will present Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, featuring screenings of the complete film with Oscar®-winning composer John Williams’ musical score performed live to the film. The concert will be led by acclaimed conductor Dirk Brossé. Since the release of the first Star Wars movie nearly 40 years ago, the Star Wars saga has had a seismic impact on both cinema and culture, inspiring audiences around the world with its mythic storytelling, captivating characters, groundbreaking special effects and iconic musical scores composed by Williams. Now, fans will be able to experience the scope and grandeur of this beloved film (in English, with Dutch subtitles) in a live symphonic concert experience in The Royal Concertgebouw, Amsterdam.

Na het zien van Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope en Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back wilden wij ook graag Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi zien en beleven.
Ook dit was wederom een fantastische belevenis. Film kijken met de muziek live gespeeld door een groot orkest is toch echt iets waar een bioscoop niet aan kan tippen. De film is eigenlijk wel ontzettend gedateerd (bijna 40 jaar oud), maar zoals het nu gebracht werd, is het toch weer heel erg goed.
