Dansvoorstelling : Ish Dance Collective – Ayahuasca

Afgelopen woensdagavond ben ik naar de dansvoorstelling Ayahuasca geweest. Deze dansvoorstelling werd uitgevoerd door Ish Dance Collective in de grote zaal van het Stadstheater te Zoetermeer.

Choreographer Gil Gomes Leal is inspired by the mental complexity of human beings. With alienating and occasionally disruptive movements, the dancers expose the depths of their souls following a ceremony, which involves drinking the age-old drink called Ayahuasca. An investigation into a more balanced and grounded state of consciousness.

Ik vond dit een hele goede dansvoorstelling. Er werd een compleet verhaal verteld met behulp van heel goed bedachte dans. Deze dans werd zeer goed uitgevoerd door de verschillende dansers, samen met de choreograaf. Ook de muziekeuze was erg goed en het geheel maakte dit tot een waar spektakel en de snelle staande ovatie was dan ook niet voor niets.
